Bobby was born in poverty in the Ozark Mountains of Northwest Arkansas.
His parents divorced and his Mom raised her two boys in Kansas, Oregon and Oklahoma. At 16 he chose to run away from home and his love of entertainment led him to California where he began a career of singing at special events, conventions, fairs and night clubs.
